Meinl Sonic Energy Octave Steel Tongue Drum 16" - D Kurd - Black, Engraved Floral Design

The Meinl Sonic Energy OSTD1BKE 16-inch Octave Steel Tongue Drum delivers a rich, meditative sound with a handpan-like tonal character. Constructed from coated stainless steel, the drum features a central bass note surrounded by eight additional notes, with the outer notes using two reeds each to produce tones across two octaves. Tuned to D Kurd at A4 = 440 Hz, its resonant and expressive voice is well suited for meditation, sound baths, relaxation, music therapy, and creative music making.

The OSTD1BKE can be played with your fingers or the included wooden mallets and is comfortable to position on your lap or a flat surface. Three silicone feet provide stability during tabletop playing, while the bottom sound hole can be closed with the included silicone plug for a more compact sound. A black finish, decorative cord, and laser-engraved floral design give the instrument a distinctive appearance, while the included carrying bag makes transportation and storage easy.
